I don't know enough about emdr to truly comment, but I do know that if you feel uncomfortable with your T or feel they are trying to rush you along, then it is probably a good idea to discuss it with them, or find another T. I'm sorry I didn't reply to your thread sooner. I saw it, but got pulled away from the computer before I could reply. Take care of you, and I hope you get this worked out. If the method helps, then that's wonderful. But if it makes you feel rushed or you are uncomfortable with it, then moving on to someone/something different would be a good idea.
Thanks for this!

How do you know that she thinks you only need brief treatment?

I know for me my therapy is going to be a long journey. I would talk to your t about this and tell her your afraid she will think you should be well after a few sessions. I have to go soon to my t but will post later today. ((((((Hugs)))

Suzzie I too am looking into EMDR. I think EMDR may help but from talking to a T or to it doesn't work for everyone - I haven't decided that I'm 100% going to do it. Hang in there and go with what your gut is telling you.

Suzzie, she is probably going to use EMDR as only one tool to help you. I hope that you can share your concerns with your T.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
