Even though I have memory loss, self defence mechanism, there are times I can say traumas and abuse that happened to me very easily...
It is like I am refering to a movie and am completely emotionless... I don't understand why or how I do this, ![]() Anyone else like this? Patricia |

i do the same and i think that you'll find many survivors, suffers of PTSD, dissociation, abuse, etc. can relate with you. with me it was that the emotional stuff was stored in a different part of my brain from the memories. there's a physiological reason for that. are you in therapy at all? wishing you well and letting you know you're not alone. kd

.............I can relate to what your saying.... With me, I don't always have a "full memory" of what happened to me. Maybe the memory that is missing is the "feelings" associated with what has happened. What I can do is "feel" for others who were abused. I guess this is a way we somehow protect ourselves from the pain of our own experiences..........

Same here Patricia. Alot I have found through therapy but only remember bits and pieces but not the whole experience.
