Why do school buses make me feel like a helpless child or something? When I see a school bus I feel so afraid.. like I need to hide. I literally feel like a child again. Yet, the only thing I can remember when riding the school bus was a few boys who picked on me and touched me inappropriately for like a split minute, not very long at all... nothing at all compared to some of the other experiences I've faced. I just think if anyone were to see my reaction to when I see a school bus they would think something was wrong. I really don't get it. Why do I have such a strong reacton to it?

Could there be more trauma involved then you remember? I would think being inappropriately touched would be pretty traumatic. Good grief. Then, too, as you suggested, maybe you just associate them with your childhood, when lots of things were out of your control--maybe even things that happened at school, which is where the bus took you....
