Thanks to Runawaytrain025 I have summoned the courage to say this out loud. As a boy I was abused sexually by 2 different men, it messes with my head to this day and I'm 47 years old now. I was also physically abused by my parents that abuse causes me to repress any sign of assertiveness even for my own protection.

Not looking for anything profound here I just needed to say that somewhere. I can't tell u how much I am relieved to have done so I think I finally know what the term/title "Waiting to Exhale" means.

To Runawaytrain025 thank you for having the courage to speak up. It fueled my courage to do the same

I agree. You are very strong and brave to admit and accept something like that. I am coping with my own past and abuse I survived and witnessed in my childhood and this acceptance changed me for good. There is hope and there is the light and just by saying this you made your first steps toward the light. Have a great journey my friend!
