My sister and her husband were my legal guardians for my last two years of high school. Some things happened and it didn't occur to me until recently that a lot of that was probably abuse. I want to know what others think:

1. being forced by them to stay with an abusive boyfriend, because the boyfriend bought my clothes, food, shampoo, etc--and they didn't want to have to do it

2. my brother in law caught my boyfriend trying to kill me and instead of helping me, he stood there yelling at me, and later called me a pervert

3. refused to let me get a job and then complained that I was "smooching" off of them

4. constantly having to know what I was thinking and feeling at all times.

5. they moved in a guy who they knew was criminally insane and took off for a few days, leaving me alone with him

6. constantly blamed me for things they knew i didn't do or wasnt my fault so they could have an excuse to punish me

7. a friend left her 3 month old baby on them, so they turned around and left me alone with the baby for several days with no money, diapers, food, anything

8. purposely making me feel like they could read my thoughts all the time

9. decided it was my fault that my sister was suffering from a mental disorder

10. always telling me that I was inviting demons and the devil himself into our home

11. once my sister told me that if she went to hell, it would be my fault

12. they were constantly kicking me out (but they sure wanted me back when my sister had to actually do anything)

That sounds like abuse to me, do you have anyone maybe at school you can talk to? Or a friend?
Thanks for this!

Well, I'm currently in therapy--I just wanted to get that off my chest.

That's good and this is a good place for getting things off our chests.
