My T has known for some time that I find angry people scary and that I'm terrified of my parents, mostly because they have power over me and because they can get angry.
Yesterday she asked "What do you think they will do to you? What does your mind come up with?" I said: "I don't know/don't want to talk about it." Mostly because I didn't know how to answer the question. She was really understanding. Then she asked: "May I ask if something has already happened?" I said yes. I did it. I told her that yes, it used to happen, but not in the past few years because I walk on eggshells all the time in order not to get my parents angry. She didn't ask anymore than that. I'm really glad I told her. I'm glad for the way she responded, too. |

That's so awesome!! I'm so proud of you!
![]() I know that when I told my T about my CSA (childhood sexual abuse) in the past, I was curled up in the tightest ball I could physically manage. You are strong, my dear. Good job! ![]()
