I was abused and r*p*d almost 2 years ago. And during that time I broke a few ribs, bruised some organs, and some other unpleasant injuries...
But unfortunately my ribs did not heal back correctly and they poke and pinch when I move the wrong way. I thought the pain would go away but it is still there. I cannot go not any doctors at the moment due to lack of funding.

I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem?

Because ribs on both sides were broken it is very hard to sleep. If I move at all in my sleep I wake ip in pain or I have nightmares of abuse or I have difficultly breathing.

Is there anyway to help this?

Hi Girl.

Unfortunately, something of this magnitude really needs to be addressed by a doctor. If the ribs have healed back incorrectly, they pose the risk of being more prone to future breaks and potentially damaging the internal organs. I am additionally fearful that the difficulty breathing might, in part, be influenced by the injuty. I understand a doctor right now might not be feasible, but visiting one ASAP is a priority. I'm sorry...I wish I could offer more for that.

Until then, be mindful of the injury...try to avoid any blunt force to the site as best you can. As far as pain management goes, an over the counter pain medicine might be best until you're able to speak to a doctor. Just be mindful of the dosage and use them as directed, and don't use 'em on an empty stomach...you risk liver damage otherwise.

Hugs Girl. All of my best goes to you, as ever.

Hugs,
Harley

Dear GirlofManyFaces,

I am so sorry for all the pain you are going through, emotionally and physically. As harley47 said, you need medical attention. Are there any women's group who may be able to help?

Also, maybe you may want to explore visiting abroad for treatment, especially if it requires surgery. In my country, medical tourism is a big thing. I read an article where people felt that visa+travel+treatment+stay was cheaper than getting treated in US. A doctor's consultation fees maybe arnd 15$

So maybe you can explore that option....
