Seek out what your community is doing to support this cause. Wear blue as often as you can to bring awareness.

I remember feelings last April of bitter irony at the hypocrisy of "our" sick and twisted Family Court System who is the biggest abuser of all. And here it is another year later and nothing has changed except the growing number of its victims whose families the hold captive. It's a very profitable business that shamelessly continues to spread misery and heartache - not the care for the child first they promise.

i agree with how ineffective the system is in protecting children. i have to work in tandem with the system for my job. to kick off the month we went and planted hundreds of pinwheels in front of the state legislature. there were all these speeches at the event on the measures we have to take to prevent child abuse. being a victim myself and my resulting mental health issues, ptsd and did, i listened to these and combined with my knowledge of the system i know that nobody would have done anything to protect me. this made me very sad.

For something as precious as children very few seem to have an awareness or interest in how well they are performing. Don't care until you are in the throes of - like a venus flytrap they will close over you and suck you dry (of money) it ought to be higher on the priority and it is, imo, the ultimate hypocrist to screw over not just anybody but especially our children.

I was researching on the internet and it's seems that it's "Child Abuse Prevention Month" in the USA and maybe Canada? But not here in the UK
I looked on wikipedia and it seems that there are other things happening this month. I'll list them later.
