i'm engaged and expected to get married in december. i love my fiance very much. where i come from women must live with their parents house till they get married, so basically i'm stuck here with my parents fighting 24/7
my father has been very mean to my mother and has done things to her in the past which i can never forgive him for even though i know he regrets it. when they fight i am used as my fathers punching bag (not literally but emotionally). he starts verbally abusing me. and has cursed others who have never ever tried to hurt him. he threatened to ruin my marriage and if he does i am afraid i'll end up in the hospital. i don't want that to happen. i cant talk to my dad, he just never listens God give me patience!! God give me strength !! |

Faye.. I said a prayer for you. You might want to read a book called Boundaries by Townsend and McCloud. My dad was a bully too! I know it must be hard for you. Remember to keep your thoughts about yourself positive and grounded in truth instead of the negativity that may happen in your house.

that is so bad..
I know how hard it is to listen to parents fight, and yell at each other and then one of them try to take it out on you.. Can you leave the room like ozzie asked?? And why do you have to live with your parnets why can you not move out on your own?? it is a religous hold up? Which is the hold up, of you moving out on your own? <font color=purple> take time to heal thyself before trying to help others, or you will never get better
