our mother never was a mother so we don't feel a loss. maybe it was easier for us because we knew from as soon as we could know anything at all that we had to look out for ourselves. she lived in the house and she fed us. but that was it. i am sorry you feel a sense of loss.
do you have mama bears in your bear family? i think a mama bear would be cool.

I feel you, my mother was only a mother to my visually impaired brother. She treated me like I was a threat or competition.
