I've realised I'm quite self-centered.. I spend a lot of time thinking about myself and making sure I'm alright.. I feel I need to start 'noticing' others, too.

I had to become self-centered as a child as I had no one else.. I had to start taking care of myself. And because I feared for my life at the hands of crazy parents, I became awfully forceful in making my own safety a priority. I honestly felt like I was living in a war zone..

But now I'm relatively safe.. Yes, there'll always be risks in life, but I'm not in that scary childhood environment anymore. I can relax in that sense.. And open myself up to other people and to life So thankful..!

Sounds good. Just take it step by step. Be open, but be willing to leave if things aren't going right for you. Best of luck !!!
