I live in a group home. I get threatened on a daily basis with bodily harm from a guy. I am female. I am not the only female he does this to. I have been groped. I have cigarette butts thrown at me. I have been threatened on a nightly basis with bodily harm. The owner does nothing! If I call adult protective services I get threatened to be kicked out. I have no where else to go. What do I do?

Have you called the police?
I would start documenting everything; each interaction you have with him and each interaction you have with the people running the home. Also, does the operation of the home not fall under some authority or ogranisation? Who placed you in the home? I think these are all people and places you can turn to. |

The owner is the manager. She sits at her desk all day and does nothing to resolve problems. She owns the building. What she says goes. A state hospital put me here. If I go to police I will be kicked out on the street.

What agency runs the house? DMH? It can't be independently owned by that woman. A state agency must oversee it.

I'm so sorry you're hurting so much, Dnester It must be very scary for you. Please don't give up. I agree with what all the others have already wisely said better than I ever could. Try to contact someone that may help you. Call the police if you have to. You have every right to do that. I believe it is possible to make anonymous call to them. You don't have to reveal who you are, after all he's doing this to all the women there. I believe the same thing goes for APS. If things get bad, can you ask your hospital to be relocated into another group home? I believe you have every right to do that. Please stay safe and take care of yourself. Do you think you can ask for help to all the other women there? Perhaps if you join forces together it will be easier. Can they kick out that many people? Either way, I think making anonymous call is a great idea. Try to do that if you can. Report everything this man is doing to you and the others. It's four your own, and everyone else's, safety. That must be the priority. I hope things will get better soon. It's a terrible situation to be in. I hope you'll get out of it soon, and with no damage done to you or the others. Remember that we're here for you if you need it. Feel free to PM me anytime. Let me know if I can do something to help you. Wish you good luck! Let us know how it goes. Please stay safe. I hope things will go well and get better for all of you there. I'm so sorry you have to deal with all of this

Called APS on an anonymous call. They said that I had to be there to talk to the police when they got here to voice my complaint. How is that anonymous? Wouldnt it make much more sense to take the name of the person doing the stuff and talk to them about not doing that stuff. I told thr nurse she doesnt do a f-ing thing about anything and now she is pissed at me and calling the guy who does thid stuff baby and sweetie and all this other stuff. I overheard her say she aint worried that I will leave. There is a guy here that works at another group home. He is hoing to look into that place for me. Say a prayer please.
