Does everyone see sex as animalistic and no love involved?

Sex without love is just sex.
Sex with love is lovemaking.

To some extent, yes....it's purely lust. I have had a lot of great sex in my lifetime where I didn't "love" them. Fortunately most of the time I liked them and it ended on good terms.

The thing about it though is its all just animalistic sex and lust. Even if you love a person I dont believe its about love when you have sex just lust as SMRY said. I dont see any love in using someone elses body for gratification even if I do love them.

Perhaps it's sharing willingly in each other's gratification that enhances love? I don't know. I'm not sure I've been in true love ever

SorryShaped that makes sense. I have been in love. I was married for 18 years and sex never enhanced the love for me at all.

Did you share in each other's gratification? I NEVER feel sated if only I'm "serviced." Sure, it's still fun, but if I'm not a participant in their pleasure or they don't seem to get pleasure, then I've not performed my part in the act and feel it wasn't as good as it could have been.

Well I just never linked sex with love even if we were both "serviced". I told my therapist how my husband said he wanted to have sex with me because he loved me and how I thought it was bs. She told me I had flawed thinking but things really got bad when I began having contamination issues.

If you have contamination issues, then sex isn't for you, even if you are calling it lovemaking.

That’s why I ended my marriage. I was shocked to realize I had signed up for a lifetime of that.

I don’t have contamination issues but I haven’t had it in almost 3 years however I’m also a Christian so celibacy is healthy for me as a single woman.
