I was in a very abusive marriage for almost 12 years. When we split, I never sought help...thinking time would heal all. I was wrong. I still have flashbacks daily, constantly. I swear its like i can feel the blows to my face when I get stuck on certain memories. When does it stop??

I’m sorry that you are having such awful flashbacks.
I suggest that you seek professional help. Your life can be better. ![]() |

Well... what I can tell you is that I'm 70 years old.

I think it's normal after a trauma. I don't have flashbacks but instead, I sometimes have nightmares. I agree with Bill that you should seek professional help. You are at peace physically (in that you left the abuser) but maybe your mind also needs to find peace.
