I keep finding references to inner child work - journaling, parenting your inner child, dialogue with inner child, etc.
Honestly it strikes me as woo-woo and weird and embarrassing. I'm uncomfortable with the idea. BUT - if it actually works, I'm willing to put that aside and give it a try. I'd learn to stand on my hands if I thought it'd help me get past these issues. So I'm wondering if anyone here has tried this sort of thing, and how it went for them. Thank you!!!! |

You might post this question in the Psychotherapy section as some inner child work has been discussed on there previously, as I see no one has been able to answer you yet on here. I haven't done that particular therapy myself. But I understand the willingness to try anything if it will work.

@leomama I've been fighting with the VA for years to get treatment, asking for help over and over - when asking for help is like torture to me. So I feel like I want it pretty bad.
