Finally told my parents I was raped at age 20.It was by an ex friend of my dad's.Dad knew something was up with an ex friend of his.I was in the bathroom taking a shower and he opened the door.I was screaming get out and would not.Pulled down his pants and I had nowhere to go and that is when he raped me.Told me do not report it or he was going to kill me if I did.My dad was angry and did report it.My parents were not angry at me,they are angry at this ex friend of my dad's whom is in prison for a sexual assault conviction.

@Stronglady1 I am sorry to hear you were a survivor of abuse. No one should have to go through that.

I am not condoning that type of behavior but I hope anyone that has anger about that will not keep that anger alive. Anger makes me miserable and sometimes leads me to do things I regret.

It must be difficult for you to share that. Hope you feel the support of the community.

I also know it is not my fault.My dad is letting the justice system do their job.

I’m so sorry. I had survived attempts sexual assault by a family member. No one ever believed me
