I've had a tiny bit of EMDR therapy experince....sadly its not been a very readily available therapy form in the town I live in.
but I am looking into the idea of switching my counseling providers in my local area to somewhere new.
that will be covered by my insurance. I believe....
and I am looking at first doing some DBT therapy and then after that is over moving on to doing EMDR I think both would be very good for helping get to a place of healing with my past since I
Possible trigger:

I have done CBT therapy and I am sorry but I utterly and completely refuse to do that again. It just did not work for me and almost made me feel like I was reliving trauma and triggers doing it.

EMDR is something I have only second-hand experience with since I've only read internet articles on the subject. I sure hope you will find it useful to you.

It is awful what you went through in your youth. So heartbreaking.

I hope you will consider sharing with us how things are going and maybe give us some first-hand accounts of EMDR if it isn't too personal or painful or too much trouble for you.

Wishing you only the very best!
