My half-brother's court date is in about a week... I don't have to go thankfully... the evidence I gave was enough.

It's so triggering, makes me feel sick. I know he'll get time, there's no question about that.

Just want the date to come and for it all to be over with, so I can try to move on.

Just feeling weak and guilty today.

I am so glad for you that you don't have to testify. I also feel you must be brave to report him.

Thankfully the evidence provided is enough, and I received medical notes saying I was mentally unfit to testify.

My nephew got the same treatment as me, he's not going to have to testify either.

Very glad for that... I wouldn't be able to sit in court and repeat what happened.

Wow Wood >> after all the times you have repeated the awful things that happened to you here in support chat ..

If I had rehearsed and repeated that much >>> I would definately have the Strength ,,, and be chomping at the bit for a Jury Or Judge to feel the emotion In my words and face .. if for no other reason ,,,, But to Hope for aggravating circumstances to add time to his sentence .

But YOU are lucky that the prosecutors have a GREAT Case to insure his incarceration ...

I am probabley one of those peeps that would LOVE to twist the knife a bit in My abuser./s/ Court Date in a Week

I guess it's hard to consider myself "lucky" but I see what you mean.

With me, typing what happened, it's not half as hard as saying it. When you say it, you hear yourself, it's a lot different- if they had wanted a written testimony I would have been able to provide that.

But like I said, no need. I'm not good at public speaking in front of people... I would have been a stuttering and probably silent mess.

I agree talking is a hundred times worse then writing this.
Even writing this in chat is much harder then to post a reply/topic. Still thinking about you!
