will the thoughts and memories ever go away? I don't want to be this person......who had this happen to her. I can't accept this as part of my life. I just want it to go away.

I hope the thoughts and memories do go away, or at least you can become able to control when you recall them.

It sounds harsh, but you are that person, and that can't be changed as much as you want it to be.. so the only thing to do is to learn to accept that and attempt to move on.

Sometimes it overwhelms me and I don't know what to do with it. Sometimes I am more accepting of it but very depressed and self-loathing. I never know what emotions the day will bring .....I guess I'm not very good at handling them.
