How do I know that I'm not faking this disorder? Because all of my friends think I'm faking. So I have to be faking right? I have all the symptoms but all of my friends think I'm faking because they've never seen us switch before but I don't feel comfortable switching in front of people if I even do have the disorder. So how do I know that I'm not faking?

I'm sorry that your friends are not very compassionate and understanding. Wish I knew what to say to help!

the only way to know whether you have this disorder is by contacting a mental health therapist or psychiatrist. Then keep working with your therapist and psychiatrist.

Dont worry about your friends. Dissociative disorders are more about ...........feelings......... not about switching alters like you see in movies, books, youtube and tic toc. this is real life not staged or scripted like movies and youtube and tic toc.

Dissociative disorders is a ------- lot ......... different even from what you find on internet.

even if you have the most severe dissociative disorder your friends are not going to notice whether you have a disorder or not. they have known you all their lives or for however long you have been friends. to them you are just how you have always been, no difference to them. so you get a bit moody sometimes you are still you their friend that they have always known in the same way that they have always known you, kinds of attitudes.

if you think you have a mental disorder of any kind the best thing for you to do is contact your doctors and they will help you find out if you have any mental disorders.

If you switch and you have the symptoms and you think you have it, who cares what they think?
