I haven't been doing very well lately and think I need to join a narcotics anonymous group, but have never been in a 12 stop program, so I don't really know where to start. I live in a small town and its not easy to find groups, especially those where I can truly be anonymous. Does anyone have any recommendations?

whim, I go to 12 step meetings for Adult Children of Alcoholics (ACOA) and a Codependency group meeting (CODA). I have also attended alonon group meetings. I have found that these NA 12 step meetings meet in churches, hospitals, and various business locations that take a small donation for the space or some let the space be free.
I would call your local hospital and ask if they have any info. I would also go online and look for these meetings by state and see if any numbers are available that you can call. Since you live in Hawaii, I am not familiar with that state but if you seek you shall find. Best wishes on finding a meeting and in your recovery. |

You don't have to share anything until you are ready. You can just listen to other's stories and realize that you are not alone. You will be safe and everything that is said in the meeting stays in the meeting. ![]() |
