At my most recent session with T, I told him how that day was the 2nd anniversary of my sobriety date. He was the only person I told and "celebrated" with (I don't attend AA regularly). He confided that his sobriety date is only a few days after mine - well over 30 yrs sobriety.
I would like to acknowledge that day and was wondering about the best way to do that. What complicates things somewhat is that I have a huge case of transference for him (which he and I have talked about) and I don't want to look like I'm trying to demonstrate something "more." I thought of an email that simply said "today" in the re line and "thinking of you on this day" as the message.
Would there be anything problematic about that? Not sure of the protocol on this.......TIA everyone!
