No I don't think you are right. An addict is a always an addict albeit in recovery. Addiction is a brain disease and without constant attention even with considerable recovery time relapse happens easily. The AA slogan "One day at a time." is there for a reason

In my mental real estate the AA program says it is a lie to say once an alcoholic always an alcoholic but NA does say that an addict is always an addict or do I have my facts wrong?
