Our family is not a usual one. My wife and I are former heroin addicts. it's a long story.... After family rehab, we stayed sober for 3 years. However, 2 days ago, I found a dose in the bathroom behind the toilet. It's not mine. So, it is my wife's dose. She doesn't know about it yet, and I don't know how to start talking about it. I refuse believing that she could conceal that dose from me. I just don't understand why???? everything was great!!!! what is the reason???
I read on Family Rehabilitation Centers: Addiction Treatment for Those with Children that relapses are frequent, and it is important to visit preventing relapse programs. We didn't do that hoping that we would resist that craving by own efforts. Now I understand that we've been wrong. It's hard to realize that your loved one isn't honest with you. |

((((ThanushPoulsen)))) I'm sorry you're struggling. Yes, relapses can happen. Don't be too harsh on your wife, she probably doesn't mean any harm and was just embarassed about telling the truth. I'd suggest to bring up the topic with her, discuss it in a peaceful and understandable way, and maybe go to a rehabilitation center if necessary. I'm sorry you have to deal with all of this.

So, we decided to join the relapse program. Tomorrow will be our first day. I am still a little bit frustrated but hope everything is going to be ok. |
