Hi Everyone,

I'm a compulsive overeater, binge eater and overall food addict. I've been in and out of program (meaning going to meetings) for many years. I've been on every diet, expensive weight loss clinics, WW a million times, meal replacements that were just liquid, medically supervised not to mention all the silly methods I've thought of myself. I've locked myself into my room at night so I couldn't get up to eat in the middle of the night. You name it...I tried it. Psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, nutritionists, Doctors etc. Even though I haven't been to an OA meeting I like to think that I'm a better person because of working the steps whether I'm in program or not. Yes, I'm a better person but I'm still bingeing and compulsively overeating. I guess its time to get back to a meeting. Unfortunately there are not as many local OA meetings as I would like. There isn't much choice. That sounds like an excuse. Maybe it is.

So for all those 12 steppers out there, whether you are struggling or not, I'm praying for you and me today.

One day at a time

Suzanne
