Actually numb and in shock, as the proof of how much my now deceased parents favored my a-hole sibling just keeps coming and coming

....I was so distracted by it that I wasted so much time making a second trip to the watch place because I thought I left my watch in the car. It WAS in my bag, just in the wrong place.

I just met the girl Ive been waiting for all my life.

Just like a predicted would happen in my book
Not knowing if she was a guy or girl.
Then I asked them to meet me on my FB.

Feeling under the weather as didn't sleep well and felt I was getting a cold. Plan to just read mostly, watch a little TV, and bs on here on any active threads.

Yeah I’ve been there too.

As for what I’m feeling it’s huge disappointment that my upstairs neighbor didn’t go away after all and came home late. Why was he hauling all that luggage leaving yesterday is beyond me. I knew it was too good to be true deep down! He doesn’t go anywhere…

A bit rough overall. Let my sugar jones win last night. Ate some junk [too much] and now feeling pretty bad for it. Diabetes 2 right? I work hard to eat properly but on occasion I *bleep* up.

I've relapsed on sugar or comfort foods too, after doing quite well for a few weeks at least. I never heard the phrase "sugar jones" and couldn't find the meaning online in this context. Must mean sugar addiction?

Yes it does. Originally, back in the 60s, it apparently referenced heroin addiction. In today's popular culture though, the slang 'jonesing' or 'having a jones' just means having any sort of insatiable craving.

Yeah, danged old sugar fit got me. Being a bit spinny moodwise tends to activate my sweet tooth. A bit difficult to reason with myself at those times. Gawd...it was all tasty though!

Okay thanks. I grew up in the 60's but didn't hear that.

Speaking of heroin and/or sugar addiction, Eric Clapton had both. I wish he wrote about how he got his sugar cravings under control.

He said it was his first "real" addiction. And at one time he said he was eating so much chocolate he gained a lot of weight. And couldn't fit into this pants!

Nothing like rich sweet foods like a cookie.

Even though fruit is sweet and we're supposed to eat it, it's just not rich and comforting.
