Today we saw a lost puppy and we tried to hard to get it to come to us, but it was so scared. It had bad mange and looked like it had been running for weeks.

What did we do wrong? I really wanted it to know we were safe. I'm so scared this puppy will die. It makes me so sad.

You didn't do anything wrong! That you couldn't get the puppy to come to you is not your fault!

Maybe you could call the Humane Society and tell them where you saw the puppy and what it looked like. Or ask your neighbors if they saw it.

If you don't find out what happened to the puppy, it's still ok. It's not your fault.
