I'm sorry you can't find basil. That is very sad. I'm sure you'll find Basil soon. Until then, lots of us are here for you. In fact, I'll show you pictures of my dogs if you don't mind!
 That's Snickers and he LOVES to play!  This is Cosette...she likes to play, too...A LOT. And she likes to cuddle.

Maybe Basil is out having an "adventure". Maybe he is exploring things to come back and tell the pack. I know you're sad without him, but can you draw a picture of the things he might see if he's exploring? That might help and be fun.
