I hate to "admit" it ... I think I "fit" here.

I've tried so many different "treatments" most of which made me worse

In my opinion, "treatment" in the UK has sometimes left much to be desired I at least deserve to be treated with compassion and respect as we all do.

Currently I'm reading a DBT workbook. It seems I'm now allergic to all meds (for severe depression, anxiety, PTSD etc....)

It's so hard not to think of "other options"........ (but they are so hard to "successfully complete... )

So few IRL get it

Hi FuzzyBear!
I think I know how you feel. The drugs that work best on me are the ones I'm most allergic to. It's really hard to find a combination that helps, and I haven't had a real remission since my Prozac days back in the mid 90's. So I live with an underlying depression that I must fight year round. And since I'm bipolar, I can only take so high of a dose of any antidepressant. Right now I'm on three of them, and I think the only reason I'm not breaking out in hives is that I'm also on prednisone for another condition.

So know this, you are not alone.

Based on my knowledge of your history, yes, your case meets the criteria for "treatment-resistant depression". I'm in the same boat.

This is true. Even medical professionals too often don't get it.

I get it Fuzzy, I'm in the same boat. My pdoc and I agree that the few options we have left for meds aren't the right thing for me. My pdoc is respecting my wishes and not pushing meds at me and she is treating me kindly, it really does help when professionals are on your side. (((((((Fuzzy))))))

You're leading me into new forums today fuzzy I don't know if you've ever read any of my thoughts on depression but in a nutshell I think some people who have what is called depression simply see the world a bit too clearly. I'm not going to say the world is a terrible place but there is a lot of facade that doesn't bear attention. Yet it is our world too. There is still love, beauty, and magic left in it.

I've thought that myself at times

I've often wondered about the clarity thing myself.

Hi fuzzy. I think I have treatment resistant depression with anxiety mixed in. I am on 2 medications for depression, wellbutrin and amitriptyline mainly for migraines. Neither are working too well.
