After almost 2 months of feeling really out of it weird, foggy, spaced out , because of an increase in my medication I have FINALLY been feeing normal - I don't mean good - just normal- like a bad version of myself, but still myself - then today I started getting these really weird quick and intense dizzy spells - they are bizarre as anything - they last less than a second and it feels as though I am about to get vertigo but then it doesn't happen- they eventually went away later in the day - but then I got really worried about myself- about never being normal again- about never feeling completely like myself again- I had an apt with my therapist and I told her how great everything was going, then I ended up having these weird dizzy/vertigo things and started to obsess and worry

Why do I feel better for a few days then return to feeling so funky

Anyone?

I'm glad you are feeling better, but for the vertigo/dizzy spells. So sorry for that. Could they be a medication side effect? have you checked with your prescriber about it?

Hi, sorry about your dizzy spells, a pain when you start to feel like you again. If not medication, could they be linked to anxiety? I don't know you, but when I feel a bit better, sometimes I worry it won't last. Also, if we're used to feeling awful, feeling more ourselves is now unfamiliar, and can in a strange way be unsettling. If anxious, people breathe faster, this in itself causes dizziness, a bit like vertigo. If, when you notice, you inadvertently slow or stop for a moment, then the dizziness would go. Only a thought, I do it a lot.

Thanks fizzyo - I do think some of it is anxiety - it's disappointing because the Paxil has always helped the anxiety in the past - now it's not helping at all

I'm on Paxil too. Wish I could get off of it but the side effects are so bad.
