7 days out of inpatient for an suicide attempt. Dr was very nice but told me no one could keep me safe. Besides the pills I take daily I can go around the corner and buy OTC meds that could be just as bad. But he did say that whenever I find myself to tired or overwhelmed all I would have to do is call and I could go inpatient for as long as I needed. Said he would always be there for me. Tthats a good feeling. I will continue ECT and hope for the best.

Sounds like you have a great pdoc, Bird Feeder! Yes, it's true. If a person is determined to get rid of themselves, ultimately, there's no way to prevent it. But it sounds like you have great support. This is to be celebrated... good luck!

Do continue working through treatment and take up that inpatient option if things become too hard. Taking an OD is never advisable - apart from my wanting you to stick around - a failed attempt could leave you with physical damage to the brain or organs, which will make life infinitely more difficult. Brain damage could leave you unable to function or reason at all. I know it is difficult, but do weigh up every scenario and consequence of a suicide attempt.
Hopefully, your treatment will go well and my Post will be unneeded. Dave.
