Hey everyone
i started taking citalopram five months ago and i have now tried four other antidepressants in addiction to citalopram but no one works. I have tried brintellix, anafranil, wellbutrin and effexor but nothing works. Citalopram is the only antidepressants that works for me but i have now reached the maximum dosis (60mg) but its not enough for me to feel good. I am trying to find another antidepressants that works in addiction to citalopram. Can someone suggest me something? Is anyone of you taking citalopram and another antidepressant?
Thank you so much

I have had Mirtazapine in addition to citalopram, but the Mirtazapine was at night to help with night time distress and SI.
My psychiatrist was wary of some combinations because of the risk of Serotonin Syndrome.

If you're on such a high dose of citalopram are you having an ECG done periodically as there is a small risk of heart rhythm problems with high doses of citalopram, I was advised to when on 40mg.

Best of luck with your trials, sorry I have no helpful suggestions.

My pdoc put me on a small dose of abilify in addition to several antidepressants. It helped numb the awful feelings, somewhat.
