Hi everyone,
I was diagnosed with treatment-resistant depression and anxiety almost 7 years ago. I've tried a number of different things, but right now I'm on 60mg Prozac, 60mg Strattera, 25mg Lamictal, and Klonopin as needed. I still feel suicidal, especially today. I decided a while ago that I would never try to commit suicide again, but I often feel like I would like to have something do it for me--like metal falling on my head under a construction site, or something. My psychiatrist has frequently upped my doses of medicine, and I'm beginning to think that there's never going to be a "solution." Has anyone been on this medicine combo before?

Hello chg2: No, I have not been on the medicine combo you describe. I have been prescribed Prozac, Lamictal & Klonopin in the past... but not all at the same time. Like you, I have tried the do-it-yourself approach previously. And I am, as they say, passively suicidal pretty-much every hour of everyday. I personally have found neither psych med's nor therapy to be of much help. So I no longer do either. I'm pleased to read you have promised yourself never to try to commit suicide again. That is to be celebrated!

I see this is your first post here on PC. So... welcome to PsychCentral… from the Skeezyks! I hope you find the time you spend here to be of benefit.

PsychCentral is a great place to get information as well as support for mental health issues. There are many knowledgeable & caring members here. The more you post, & reply to other members’ posts, the more a part of the community you will become. Plus there are social groups you can join & chat rooms where you’ll be able to connect with other PC members in real time (once your first 5 posts have been reviewed & approved.) Lots of great stuff! So please keep posting!

I receive ECT every 2 weeks for suicidal treatment resistant depression. It has helped tremendously.
Thanks for this!
