Hi, this is Mogadore. I have depression but it has been controlled for nearly 20 years via Prozac. Unfortunately my sister has TRD and I am trying to support her but fear she is doing harm to her current program. I am looking forward to communicating with some friends here who have TRD or have a loved one with TRD. To be very honest...I love my sister, but sometime it is so very hard to like her when she is destructive. I really struggle with this. I look forward to talking with y'all!

Dear Mogadore,

I am sorry that TRD afflicts your sister. That is so heartbreaking. I can understand how that must place unbelievably heavy burdens upon you. Wish I knew what to say that would help. I have a friend with TRD and although I try to always be my best around him, I have to admit that there are times when I feel quite frustrated and drained, so my heart goes out to you!

Sincerely yours, Yao Wen

So Sorry that things are being hard for you and your sister! You've Hopefully come to the right place for support as there are Hopefully other people whom are struggling with depression and perhaps even some whom are struggling with treatment resistant depression specifically. Is your sister currently seeing a therapist or pdoc to try to manage her depression as much as possible? If she isn't that may be worth considering. Feel free to write on this forum and to contact the admins and moderators in case you need assistance. i am also availabe if you need it and Hopefully others as well if you just ask. Please do not give up. You and your sister as well deserve much better. Try both your best. i Hope and Pray things will improve soon for you both. Find distractions and work out. Never give up Hope. Sending many Safe, warm hugs to BOTH you, @Mogadore, your Family, your Friends and ALL of your Loved Ones! Keep fighting and keep rocking NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, OK?!
