i love it when new members take advantage of the chats, and infuse new perspectives into the groups~!

if you go into chat and only see a grey room, what you are seeing are unused rooms,,, it is often the case that only a member-created room will be occupied. what you do is:

rest your mouse over the "CHAT" tab until the little drop-down menu appears; click on the very bottom line "Who's in Chat" (that will open a separate window showing all the rooms and who's in them);

drag that off to the side and keep it open so you can see what's happening as it happens;

go into any public room you see with people in it,, no one can kick you out of a public room, similarly you can only "block" or ignore anyone who is offensive to you, or report them to a moderator (found at the bottom of the Community Forum) in a Private Message if they are truly misbehaving (usually you will just be advised to put them on Block - which is accessed by clicking on their name in the list to the right).

if there is no one in the public rooms (which end at Health Support), and you see a strange named room at the bottom of the list, that is a Member Created room, and it's owner can evict anyone at any time for any reason, and there are no penalties.

often behavior goes on in member rooms that is not permitted in the public rooms. so be prepared for either good or bad.

to get to a Member room, go into a public room (any one will do, but we prefer the lobby) and at the top of that window you will see a brown door with a green arrow in it.

click on the arrow and the "hallway" will appear, showing all rooms, but no occupants. scroll down to the bottom to enter member's rooms, that are listed.

when you enter, say something polite, like "am i intruding ?",, or "is this an open room ?" and if you are greeted, just be the same. we do not ask a/s/l in PC (age/sex/location), and if someone does, just ignore them, or say whatever is comfortable for you.

i hope to see you in the chats~!

if you are interested, there are Hosted Chats also, which have a leader and a topic, and are held at a certain day and time every week, unless the leader is ill or absent. check under "Calendar" on your home page, or the group(s) of the day are listed at the top of the Forum page. click on the Chat Name to see who runs it and what it's for.

Welcome~!
