Step one:
a) Hover over My Profile, once logged in. b) Click on Edit Personal, where you can edit your account information, Avatar, Subscriptions, and much more. If you're curious, clicking on Edit Display will edit the aesthetics of your profile, which others will also see! Click Edit Avatar. b) From here you can choose a preset avatar, upload one of your own, or use an image from elsewhere online by typing/pasting its direct link (also known as "URL"). You can acquire direct links of images by right clicking them and choosing the following, in the appropriate browser: Firefox: "Copy Image Location" Internet Explorer: "Copy Shortcut" Google Chrome: "Copy Image URL" Get creative with an image-editing program, and have yourself a unique avatar found nowhere else online! NOTE: please be mindful of copyright, when using other people's images - it's always best to get permission. The procedure or menu layout seems to have been changed over the course of the past two years or so, and I seem to be having difficulty getting my profile picture restored to the place where the avatar would otherwise be displayed after having experimented briefly with an avatar. Updates to this guide may be help me restore my profile picture to being displayed alongside my posts.

Thank you, Antiessentialist. I did however just check and test the procedure, but could not discern any noteworthy differences which would affect the changing of a member's board avatar. Were you able to resolve the issue? Would you still recommend I look into updating the guide? By the way, sorry that I never saw your post until now. I don't think I've been on this thread since the day I made it. xD
