one of the best things about Psych Central is it's policy of monitoring member abuse of or harrassment of members. if you find that someone has attacked you in chat, you can save a copy of that chat and send it to a Moderator for action. without a copy of the offensive language, the Moderators have little grounds for taking action.
to copy a chat, simply hold down the left mouse button and drag it over the part you want to save. it should change color. then right click to save that portion and go to the Forum Index (or directly to the bottom of the forum lists, where it shows who is signed in. Moderators will be in Red (Admin) or Green (Moderators). either will be able to help. click on the name of one, and select "Send Private Message", then paste your message in the body of the PM and give it a title, such as, Abuse in Chat, Help. Submit. the same is true of a Private Message in Chat. Should you find yourself in a chat situation that is uncomfortable and you feel it is too graphic or intimate, please remember to copy the chat and then leave immediately. It is okay to do so. Please, just remember to Copy the chat, so it's not just your word that it happened. best wishes, and stay safe~! Gus __________________ AWAKEN~! Last edited by sabby; Jun 17, 2014 at 12:19 PM.. Just do it fast as the scroll buffer is small and there is no option to show all text anymore.
