there is a way to type out the short-cuts that normally work on your page header (you know, the little yellow box and the big blue A).

to post a pic ( i will type out the code with spaces which cannot be there, or it will NOT post as a pic or a color) you need to copy the address of the pic, as usual, and then, in the place where you want to post it, you type out:

[ I M G ] (paste the pic's address , URL or whatever) [ / I M G ]

that is the code for pictures.

for Color, high-light the writing you want to have colored (by dragging your mouse over it with the button held down), and type out:

[ C O L O R = " Name of Color " ] (the high-light will act as pasting) [ / C O L O R ]

do use the actual name of the color you want~! . it is the brackets [ ] that make it read as code, and the name IMG, COLOR that makes it post as a pic or colored font. the little trick is to BE SURE to put a back slash '/' in the end brackets.

best wishes, happy posting~!
