Okay ladies, do you find it ugly for us 'aged' ladies to wear shorts-simply because of our age.

I have a friend who thinks anything shorter than just about the knee doesn't look so hot on age 50 and up...I'm comfortable in much shorter shorts especially when I kayak and do activities that make long pants uncomfortable.

Yet, I have some veins that aren't 'young' anymore. I have a bit more bulk than I once had, but still am physically not a total reck. My thighs rub a bit...so what?

I think a person should wear whatever they feel like wearing!!! To put some arbitrary age limit on shorts is a bit silly in my opinion.

I plan on wearing shorts as long as I feel like, even if I get to be 100.

I am learning to wear what I want. 6 years ago I moved to this area that is much more relaxed about their dress. I thought that was just some people until I interviewed for my job at a downtown business and the interviewer was wearing sandals and toe rings.

I am at the age where I wear what I want to wear, what feels like "me" and what feels comfortable. I just recently began wearing casual dresses, after a lifetime of refusing to wear dresses and keeping only 2 in my closet (wedding/funeral).

Shorts? I do like to be color coordinated, so I go with blue or purple so as not to clash with my vericosed veins I'm sure this is one of the "What Not to Wear" rules that Stacy and Clinton forgot...

I wear what is comfortable. I don't think short-shorts are comfortable for anyone but that's just me.

I don't wear them so short anymore but only because my legs are not in good shape anymore. If they were you bet I would wear them shorter.

I wear what is comfortable and as flattering as it can be for me, at this awkward stage. I find that LL Bean's "sun-washed" shorts are great, along with their polo shirts (no, I don't work for Bean.

I have a few skirts, in case I have to dress up but haven't worn a dress in years. Panty hose (and especially those nightmare control-tops) were banished years ago.

I say:
if you are comfortable in them and they are age appropriate shorts (meaning no daisy dukes) then why not wear them - let the universe be your fashion coach.

I like my shorts about two inches above my knees - Its All Good.

thanks gals,

Most of you think Like I DO....my friend just doesn't have the figure for shorts anymore........I'm getting the weight off, you know I'm trying, so it won't be long and I'll be back in my shorts too....and be totally comfortable in them too. No Daisy's for me though, I think my cheeks are cute, but just the ones on my face are worth looking at

Some people, no matter how large they are, can put an outfit together that looks just awesome. I really envy that.

I still like my short shorts. I don't hang out the bottom of them. But I do like them short. My legs have always been my best feature. Good thing I married a leg man.

Way to go Monty Girl!

I'm afraid of what short shorts would look like on me, so happy you can wear them and wear them well.

No, my cheeks are better behind a bit more cloth that short shorts thank you very much, at least this summer. My goal weight may be reached by end of August...who knows what changes may happen. When I get there, I'll take a picture of my buns in something a bit more "riskey" or however it is spelled

I just recently dropped 60lbs. I had to buy all new summer clothes this years. So I had to show off all my hard work I've been doing over the last 2 years.
