I have a UTI and im on medicine for it. I just got my period alittle bit ago and dont expect it back until the 25th. For a couple days now (4 days after my period) i started sporadic vaginal bleeding. Im not pregnant..i know that for a fact. But I have to wear a pad all the time now because i dont know when ill start bleeding and i wear white scrub pants at work and white pants and blood dont mix lol. Its only light spotting. It ranges from spotting for 5 minutes up to an hour. After im done spotting i can go all day and then it will start back up later in a couple hours, in the evening or even next morning i never know. There has been no trama to the area. It is bright red and sometimes it is brown/black. Now i know the black is just old blood. However...is it normal to have such sporadic bright red bleeding. I heard a couple different things. One person said that its normal for having a UTI and one said its not normal. I have no idea to be honest. I am having other health issues as i put in another area. Im not sure if they are related or not. I have no symptoms of a UTI just some symptoms from the medicine...but i checked and the medicine doesnt cause sporadic vaginal bleeding. Did anyone else have this bleeding when you had a UTI or is this something i should get checked out? Part of my other health symptoms include swollen liver and spleen. Low white blood cell count, bloated extremely tender stomach and extreme weight loss...those are the ones that could be attributed to such bleeding...but its probably just the infection right? Thanks!
btw...i dont even know how i could get a UTI..i take very good care of myself down there and when i was tested my husband and I had not been intimate in awhile due to me feeling soo poorly....so who knows on that one Last edited by Inny2009; Oct 09, 2009 at 06:58 AM. I don't know your age...is there any chance it's perimenopause?? I believe I have read that as you approach menopause, your periods can become very irregular. It's certainly worth checking out with your doctor, especially considering your other symptoms. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
