This is so embarrassing I can't believe I am even posting about it.
But.... for quite some time, I have experienced... bladder leakage.
The odd thing is that it doesn't happen when you might expect it to
(due to a cough or a sneeze)... mine happens at any time.
Out of the blue, unexpectedly... I will feel a dreaded drip.
It happens several times a day. At first, I thought maybe it was because
I had to use the bathroom and due to my CP maybe the "gotta go"
sensation isn't as strong as it is for other people, but after I have a drip I will try to go... and I can't.

Anyone have this problem or have any ideas what might cause it?

I am thinking I am going to have to wear panty liners every day, but I can imagine that would get expensive.

The kegel exercises help. You might want to see the doctor in case it is some kind of infection or bladder problem. I have it happen but I take two different fluid pills a day for my blood pressure. Panty liners do help and it isn't so expensive if you buy the store brand or buy them by the large package.

I know its not an infection or bladder problem... its been happening for as long as I can remember.

I can't do the kegel exercises... I've tried... and I have virtually no muscle down there so its next to impossible.
I've tried countless times... I can't do it.

*sigh* guess I am doomed to wear panty liners 24/7 and just deal with it.

Couple questions...

have you given birth to any children? If so, was it recent?

Did you have chronic UTI as a child or at any time in your past?

You say you have no muscles - you do have the muscles, but it sounds like poor muscle control may be a factor here. Are you sure you are doing the kegels right? Alot of people dont(including me before i knew what I was doing)

The easiest way to do a kegel for the first time is when you are urinating, "stop" the flow or slow it down. You may not be able to fully stop it if your muscle control is poor. Thats the action you should be taking when doing a kegel.

I would see a urologist if you can, and have your muscle tone evaluated and also have them do an ultrasound to check for bladder inconsistency. Just to be sure. KUP!

no
and I don't know if it would be considered "chronic",
but like 2 years ago... there were a length of time that I probably had a UTI every 2 months.
That lasted maybe 6 months (so I had 3 UTIs)

You have plenty of muscle down there, you just need to find them and work them. There are physical therapists who specialize in pelvic floor therapy. A lot of women can't find their muscles down there. The physical therapist can help you find them and give you exercises to strengthen them. Strengthening abdominal muscles can also help, as well as maintaining a healthy weight. Please mention this to your family doctor next time you see her. She can make recommendations and give a referral to a physical therapist too. Your doc may just say "do Kegels", but since you've tried to do these exercises many times before and feel you haven't done them successfully, a physical therapist seems a good route to go. To find PTs on your own, go to this link, and click on your state in the map:

Good luck.
