I'm 40 years old, but I was only married a few years ago. We have never used birth control. A few months ago I got pregnant, but lost the baby after only a few weeks. We haven't been to a fetility doctor, but I do keep track of my temperature and other signs that I'm ovulating.
Any suggestions for getting pregnant and keeping it to term would be appreciated. Even some of the old wives tales sometimes have some truth in them. Since I'm trying to get pregnant I'm not taking my medication for depression and preventing migraines - and the stuff for when a headache hits I take sparingly especially during the second half of my cycle. |

My sister is having trouble getting pregnant as well. She isn't doing the fertility shots but she is taking some sort of fertility which the details have slipped my mind. But besides vitamins and seeing a fertility doctor she has been told if she loses weight (she is over weight) and keeps her stress level down it helps her chances.
I think seeing a doctor could help you pinpoint specific tactics to follow yourself but I think just having a healthy, happy lifestyle will help your body relax and concentrate on making that baby! |

Make your positions best for gravity like missionary. After sex do a headstand or lie on your back and stick your legs in the air. It sounds pretty ridiculous but it's supposed to help.

custard is right..i wouldnt go to the extreme of a headstand but yea...but a pillow under your hip area to raise that and stick your feet up against a wall and stay in that position for a couple minutes. Also..its gonna sound stupid and easier said than done but relaxation and enjoying sex with your husband and not focusing on getting pregnant helps to lol..i know...but it worked for my husband and I. Also..Organic Raspberry leaf tea (you can find it in health stores) helps with female support including uterus strength and all that good stuff...it is said to directly help you get pregnant but if you drink it and it helps your uterus it helps your chances...its not as pretty tasting as it sounds but it is managable and i encourage women not just those trying to get pregnant to drink it..it is very women friendly and good for female organs.
