Hey, i'm really concerned about my sister. She had her period for 2 weeks then it stopped for one week and started again and still is here on it's third week, it is also strong and doesn't get weaker. My dad is worried she is losing to much blood cause she is always dizzy, feels faint when standing, her toes are tingling, and her lips are turning white. Does anyone know what this is cause it does not sound like just a strong period or anything? we are going to try and get her to a doctor as soon as possible but with the holiday weekend it is hard and i was wondering if anyone could try to help ease my mind from the panic that is there

If she is still flowing so heavy you should take her into emergency room to see why she may need a DandC done to clean out her uterus is she on meds that can cause her to bleed heavy like asprin any blood thinners. Take her into emergency to be safe okay they will help her to stop the bleeding don't let it go on much longer because her hemogloban will get too low and she will be dizzy and fall hurt herself. go to emergeny okay they will understand

She needs to get to an ER, NOW. Losing that much blood that she's that badly affected should not wait until you get in to see a doctor.

Strong periods can happen, but in her case this strong period sounds a LOT worse than just a "strong period". She really needs to get into an ER.

That much pain and bleeding can indicate something much worse than a bad period. Things like that could be anything from ruptured cysts or polyps in the ovaries or uterus, an ectopic pregnancy, endometriosis.... This needs to get checked out NOW. Things like this can put her life in danger as well as a child if she is pregnant and could potentially make her sterile.
