Has anyone tried the 'Copper IUD?' I've been dealing with PMDD on and off for about a year, I went off my birth control to relieve the heart palpatations I was getting with the anxiety around my menstural cycle. Now, I don't want to go back on a hormonal meathod of birth control. My husband and I are being very careful either not having acutal intercourse or using condoms. But of course I'm paranoid at becoming pregnant. (We are leaning toward not having kids, but we are not 100% sure yet, so don't want to go the vasectomy route yet.)
I was wondering what options on birth control women with PMDD have tried? |

Hi, Im struggling with this issue myself. I was told to go to a obgyn, ive been on 3-4 diff. birth controls since this summer. That's all they have to offer there, just birth control. Well that's not enough to really help my symptoms. I'm looking into going to a doctor, getting tests done. I've heard some antidepressants could help. Also heard of hormone injections(which i dont want). It's frustrating to go to an ob and they don't even know what pmdd is or even how to treat regular pms. I've done all the things i need, exercise, steady sleep schedule, cut down on caffeine/sugers. I'm researching right now, will let you know what i come up with.
