Im a little uncomfortable talking about this sort of stuff so youll have to excuse my lack of specific words, I tend to be a bit evasive on these subjects and Im sorry if I dont make complete sense. But I wanted to ask, how do you sleep at 'that' time? No matter what I use I tend to leak. For the first few days I actually sleep with a towel because its the only way I can sleep without having to get up to change. But even then it doesnt always work. Does anyone else have this issue? Maybe its a common thing that I just dont know about because I never discuss these with anyone.

I would have this issue too; it is a miserable feeling, a stress, and besides all the laundry. Arghhh! A friend told me about Always Extra Heavy Overnight, which has more coverage that is a wider pad and the coverage it provides has helped. I don't know if you use tampons or not but the doc had suggested at one point possibly using them with a pad as well. This made me uncomfortable so I have stuck with pads. I don't know if you've tried either of these but perhaps this might help.

I'll actually use both, and I'll use a super and a maternity, and I still have issues for the first 2 days.

The Always overnights are longer/heavier than the super pads. When I was still using pads I would take one and use it regularly and then put pads in front and behind that to keep it from leaking that way. I would put it slightly under the others so there wasn't a gap. Have you talked to your doctor about this?

A second pair of underpants will help keep the whole arrangement from sliding around. I'm wondering if you need to try Depends or some such? Are you saying it's more just a matter of leakage because of lying down, or if it is more like scary flooding for 2 days straight, then yes talk to doctor.

When I have my period I only sleep on my stomach and I use maxi pads. Happens I need to get up and change anyway. I seem to wake up if I need to.
