This morning I had realized I had forgotten to take yesterday's BC pills, so I took yesterday's and today's. Then for my nightly pills I mistook the BC pills for my zyprexa, so I have also took tomorrow's pills in addition to my other pills...I ended up taking three pills instead of one!
There isn't much I can do...my dad told me to not take any BC tomorrow then continue the day after... But will anything bad happen because I took too many? I'm not sexually active so it shouldn't matter...I'm going to drink water and eat some food so hopefully it doesn't make me sick... |

Right before my cousin got married, she was super stressed and forgot to take her birth control for a few days and her period started to start. Not wanting her period on her wedding day or honeymoon, she took all three at once the night before her wedding. From what I understand, she survived. I don't remember her being sick at all from the pills (though, she was getting married, so her nerves were pretty high). I don't remember if it did head off her period (I think it did) and she didn't end up pregnant (to my knowledge, at least).
I agree, drink plenty of water. You could always stop for a week, let your body do it's thing, and then start a new pack in a week. Also, if you still have the directions, they should tell you what to do if something like that happens. Yep, birth control pills come with a nice little packet of directions with an "in case of..." section. |

Put a note in your pack or somewhere as a reminder to take the next one at your normal time and you should be fine.
I did that once, called the doc, and this was her recommendation too, wise advice from your Dad. She mentioned though because of the higher dose of hormones in your system over the next 24 - 36 hours, when you take your next dose, it will be lower so you could have some spotting. Continue on with your pills. If you are sexually active, it could be an issue; having missed pills and using it for other reasons, you should be ok. __________________ I can be changed by what happens to me. I've taken 2 before (never 3) and nothing happened. I'm sure you will be perfectly fine Just start taking them normally again when you get back on track.

I'm certain you'll be fine hun, the only side affect you may have is some nausea. But that will just the high hormone levels, they can just make you a little off. You Dad is a wise man listen to him, and if you do have any worrys i'm sure there must be an our of hrs doctors advice line you can ring and they will be able to set your mind at rest

How did you mistake bc for zyprexa? I used zyprexa in the form of loose pills in a bottle. BC was either a plastic ring or a foil from which I pushed out individual pills. Is it not this way anymore. The plastic ring was the best dispenser because it kept track of the date.
