So I know there's a probably a thread already started on here about this, but I thought I'd bring it up again... I'm thinking about getting it done for my honeymoon. We're going to be spending a few days on a beach, and I think having my lady parts waxed would make it much more enjoyable for me. Not to mention the other part of the honeymoon... I just wanted to know if anyone else has had it done. What was it like? What do I need to know or do? Would you recommend just the bikini line or full Brazilian? I've heard taking advil before you go can be helpful. Also, is a week before the wedding a good time to get it done (especially a first time?)?

Thanks ahead of time for any advice, tips, comments, etc!

I've done this so many time before , i dont like hair
i think you should ask your partner which one that he like , with me i love full Brazilian and if its your first time maybe it would hurt for me i can do it by myself and for me its not that hurt maybe i get used to it .. well my friends calling me masochist , but if you will go to the beach i suggest at least you should get your bikini line done
i think a week before the wed would be okay , but it depend on how fast your hair grow because everyone is different

Have a happy honeymoon!

If you've got long enough b4 the wedding/honeymoon perhaps go for a trial bikini line first, and one piece of advise ask around and get someone your friends recommend to do it for you especially first time and for such an occasion

Thanks ladies! I know my fiance would probably enjoy full Brazalian as I already shave everything completely (at his request some years ago. I did it once for him, but ever since then, I do it for me!) I'm just not sure about the expense or how much it would hurt to get it all done. I do have time to get a practice one done, but not really the funds. Not to mention, I wouldn't be able to go to the same place because I'm not getting married near where I live. If I do decide to get it done, I'll go to the salon where I'm getting my hair, makeup, and nails done for the wedding. Any other tips for a first timer?

I've never waxed before because I'm too scared of the pain, but I just wanted to say that your icon is really cute

I don't know how often you shave, but when I wax it does take longer for the hair to grow back. However, sometimes and especially after the first time, there were bumps afterwards that can be irritating. I would move it out to a week and half beforehand to make sure there is no irritation. Call to ask what is recommended from the professionals so you are not dealing with any irritation on your honeymoon.

So I just booked my appointment! I was so nervous, I have no idea why -- I'm still shaking a little. I booked a Brazilian for the Tuesday before my Saturday wedding. I told her it was my first time, and she said I should be fine and to allow for 7-10 days of growth (which, i won't lie, will be hard). I plan on taking some advil or something before I go. I'm pretty excited; I have a feeling I'm going to love it and never want to go back to shaving... Not to mention, all the cute wedding lingerie me and my fiance bought yesterday... (Yeah, he came with me to help me pick! He's very finicky about lingerie...)

Any last minute advice?? Wish me luck!

Good luck. Personally, I'm too chicken of the pain. And have fun with your new lingerie.
