Okay so I have been dealing with this ffin issue for about a year now! My gynocologist is going to get sick of seeing me! I smell freaking horrible! You would think I have an STD but I don't. I shower twice a day, I have been on anti-biotics I dunno how many times, this past go around with the anti-biotics for yeast infection I swore it was gone but then it seemed like it came back worse than it was before! I'm seriously going to freak the heck out on her i think they are missing something!!!!!!! hlahhhhhhhhhhhhh!

The antibiotics could be causing it! If you go after a yeast infection when you have a bacterial infection (two "opposite" kinds of infection) then the antibiotics wipe out just the right little buggers your system needs to combat the wrong little buggers and the wrong little buggers get worse and take over.

Are you eating yogurt? ie real yogurt, not pink or green or purple sugar yogurt. Also, do you eat a lot of sugar, that will start stuff growing. Did they put you on diflucan? Do you eat a lot of fish? Certain foods show up on me there. Have you asked your partner to use a condom and checked to see if that made a difference?

I'll try the yogurt thing and i doooooooo have too much sugar in my diet but its sort of an addiction (I drink a lot of mountain dew) but im gonna try to force it out and just drink water and incorporate yogurt and eat fruit.........i drink a lot of milk as well and need to cut that down....

my lifes been hell since I started going to the doctor and got health insurance...

birth control caused me panic attacks and a chemical imbalance

one anti-biotic for an impacted tooth caused me c-diff in my intestines which was pure hell for a month- the anti-biotic for that messed up my mouth and caused "thrush" the med for that caused IBS --------jeeeeeez jeeeeeeeeeeez jeeeeeeeeez

she had me on flucanzole..or something like that....same thing.....

i dunno my system is all wacked out..,.

i even tried taking acidopholis(sp) tablets but for some reason it makes my breath rank......

everything effects meeee.....and not in a good way....if there is a side effect listed I will probably feel it.....

I agree with Perna and her funny definition of good and bad little buggers lol. Antibiotics can cause Yeast Infections and then you'd need some anti-yeast treatment. Have your doctor cultured the discharge - its important to know what beast you're fighting. Have you have a pap test - cervical changes can cause odor...so can Pelvic Inflammatory Disease. Do you use tampons - it has happened where one gets lost - sorry if this is TMI but it happens. Until this goes away, use a condom. Stay away from douches, since this area doesn't need harsh cleansing. Eat all natural yogurt.

Buy some Oregano Oil and take the drops by mouth - this fights bacteria etc in your body. Its also good to take a Vitamin C - I take a special one called Ester C and this is easier on the stomach and helps balance the PH of the body....its more expensive ($15). There is this cleansing device that uses just water that was on the Doctors Show and I'll leave you a link - called Water Works. When you're home alone, wear lose clothing without underwear - the idea is to let that area have air and be dry. Don't wear G Strings - bacteria can literally migrate to that area. When you do wear underwear, make sure its cotton in that area. The main thing is - you want to know what's the cause - is it yeast, bacterial, or something else. Also no harsh soaps. I hope you find a solution.

well I would do prolly do a betadine douche once in a while, and vinegar. and how do you feel about diet dew? I mean to drink, not douche

good point about the underwear, thong and otherwise! sorry to hear about the c-diff, that must have been rough. and your blood sugar is okay, no diabetes? because sometimes recurring yeast infections are a sign of type 2 diabetes. I don't know if gynos check blood glucose, and some women just use their gyno as their primary care practitioner.

Vaginas smell. They just do. And it's not necessarily a bad thing. There's really nothing you can do. As long as it doesn't smell fishy, then you're fine.

Also, my gyno said to never ever douche. There is no reason to and it is very bad for your health.

Definitely have them test for a bacterial and yeast infection. I've ended up having both in the past and a lot of times the docs only check for one and then they give you meds for it. Problem is the meds make the other one worse, if you have them both and don't treat them at the same time. Down there is just one giant problem for me as well. Hope you get answers soon.

I had a friend who kept suffering with recurring yeast infections, eventually she won the battle by switching to 100% cotton panties and definately no thongs. Hope you get some relief soon, fingers crossed for you

Try going on a yeast free diet (yeast cleanse) for awhile and see if it helps. This generally involves cutting out sugar. Rough but works for some.

So I went to the girly doctor and she found nothing under the microscope. However, she knows how paranoid I am and how frustrated I am so she sent it out to the lab. And it came back postive for yeast and she is perscribing me terazole cream....

anyway I have been dealing with this crap for far too long so I have been doing mad research on alternatives such as coconut oil, apple cider vinegar, the candida diet, and some other things....

I wish I never took that first anti-biotic 2 years ago, I would not be in this mess

Well, diet soda isn't really any better for you--it may not have the sugar but artificial sweeteners are bad for you in other ways. The best thing for you to do is get off of soda altogether.

I had to switch to organic cotton pads and pons for awhile. I also wore cotton undies. I used non irritating washing powders in my laundry and used feminine eve's body wash espicially for that part of your body. I used 1/2 c vinigar in my bath water every time I took a bath.(vinigar helped keep down on soap scum to ) I also used a hair dryer to dry down there. I slept w/ no undies on after 2 mo the smells seemed to improve. Who knows which was the problem.
