Hey sweeties,

I just wonder if anyone can recommended anything for me. I am on my birth control pill called microgynon (or similar tehe ) but my problem is that I'm just so rubbish with it. I constantly forget to take it, then never go pick up my next pack;in time so go ages without (I'm at work all the time so never get chance) I know that being so useless with it probably?means it doesn't work as well and whatnot.

Is there any alternative to this? I am terrible lol,

The patch every month, the shot every 3 months, and IUD, the sky is the limit. There are alot of busy people options. Our local health department gives you a one year supply at a time. Thats nice. Tried taking it in the mornings w/ breakfast or at night when you brush your teeth.

I haven't given birth, and with my boyfriend. I need to be more careful I've just got a new job and it is my big chance we want to get further in out careers before we have kids!! It's just a pain getting my pill having to pick it up every month when I'm always at work! What's the shot every 3 months might be a bit better, I can't get out of work ever though the week though!

Can you try a mail order pharmacy?

I take medications 4 times a day, beginning at 6AM, so with enough self-discipline it definitely can be done. Since you have not given birth, an IUD is probably not possible. My understanding is that 3-month shots produce more side effects than your daily pill, so I would work on developing a routine (with toothbrushing perhaps?) to remember to take it daily.

An IUD is possible even if you have not given birth. I am a living example.

Well, that an IUD is the way to go, since OP has sex with the bf only.

I'll have to ring up my gp surgery to speak to a doc and ask. I can't get there you see I have no more holidays as I'm new at my job. Just didn't want to seem like I didn't know what I was talking about --Plus the doc is a bit rubbish so I'll have to mention every option specifically. Thanks for the help honeys xxx
