I'm not currently needing to be on the pill, not in a relationship nor do I plan on sleeping with any guys soon. So I decided to come off the pill for financial reasons and bc I'm other other medicines....so why be on something I don't need.

I have only been off it for two weeks and I'm already experiencing some pelvic pain. I had my annual exam today and she noticed how tender my stomach was to touch right around my ovaries. She thinks its just because my body is adjusting to being off the pills for the first time in many years. I can't remember the last time I didn't take them. So this is new for my body.

Anyhow, I wonder if anyone else has experienced this? She also did some other blood work and a urine analysis to see if anything else was going on. I'm sure it's nothing. Anyhow, I just feel all crampy and stuff, like I have my period. She said its just because I'm ovulating.

It probably is taking your body time to adjust to the hormonal changes that occur. Many women experience tenderness when thy are ovulating too. I hope things level out for you soon.
Thanks for this!

how are you feeling now? I hope it's settled down--give it some time and see how it shakes out.

I just went off the pill a year ago after decades of being on it. it was for the same reason--why spend money to be at extra risk for blood clots? I actually feel better than I did when I was on them--less edgey. it's actually helping with my weight loss progress as well.

thanks for checking in. I actually feel better, and the pain went away. I have noticed a little bit more acne, as I have never had more than 1 a year before! I was supposed to get my period today but it's not here.

I hear you on the blood clots and weight gain -that is one of the reasons why I wanted to get off them, and I'm on other medicine too..so why be on it if I don't need it, you know?

I bet my body will adjust. I just hope I get it sooner than later.
